The money stuff, honestly.
- Why fixed-price and not hourly?
- Because you deserve to know what your book will cost before you commit. We've illustrated enough picture books to know roughly how long each tier takes, and we'd rather eat a slow week than surprise you with a bill.
- Do I own the artwork?
- You own the final delivered illustrations in perpetuity for your book — cover and interiors, print and digital, any edition and any territory. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio. No separate licensing fees.
- What about sequels?
- Book two is usually 10–15% cheaper than book one, because we already have characters, style, and typography locked in. We offer repeat-client discounts automatically.
- Payment schedule?
- 30% at project start (locks the slot), 30% at rough-spread approval, 40% on final delivery. We invoice in USD, EUR, GBP, or CHF.
